Our two-year Master of Technology (M.Tech) degree program in Machine Design started in year 2011-12 with the intake of 24 (approved by AICTE, New Delhi, India) and affiliated to VTU, Belgaum. This course is designed to put professional engineers on a fast track to success. Even more important, it gives you a jump start on a more rewarding career, one in which you can apply your knowledge and skills to make a real difference in your workplace and in the world. Department of Mechanical Engineering has well equipped lab for the students to conduct their projects and a well qualified staff to guide them.
Machine design is a composite application of mathematics, kinematics, statics and dynamics, mechanics of materials, material science, engineering and also engineering drawing. M.Tech in Machine Design course essentially focuses on areas like Theory of Elasticity and Plasticity, Theory of Plates and Shells, Advanced Vibrations, Finite Element Analysis, Kinematics Design, Tribology and Bearing Design, Fracture Mechanics, Experimental Stress Analysis, etc. enrolled students have the opportunity to work in the areas of design and analysis in association with faculty members on on-going research projects.
Duration : 2 Years
Eligibility : A minimum aggregate score of 50% at the level of graduation completed from a recognized institute.
