MIMS Academy was established on 7th May 2003 as a wing of Malabar Institute of Medical Sciences Ltd. MIMS Academy was brought under the MIMS Academy Trust on 24th April 2006.In 2004 the Academy started DMLT course under the approval of DME with a student intake of 10 numbers and the No. of seats enhanced from 10 to 30 in the next academic year as per the sanction of DME.MIMS College of Allied Health Sciences was founded in 2008 by Dr. Abdullah Cheryakatt, Managing Director, MIMS Calicut in the presence of Dr. K.K. Varma, Academy Director, Dr. Assuma Beevi, Joint Director,MIMSAcademy, Dr. Venugopalan.P.P, Deputy Director,MIMSAcademy, Dr. Lilly.M & Dr. George.K.A.
