The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) is one of the five departments at Nagarjuna College of Engineering and Technology. It administers bachelor's programs in Computer Science and Engineering, as well as master's and doctoral degree programs in Computer Science and Engineering.About twenty full-time faculty members provide a comprehensive program that emphasizes problem solving skills in C programming, Web designing aspects, data structure and application level thinking through EBox Portal. Pattern recognition, data mining and machine learning, distributed systems and android application, operating systems and computer networks, computer security, and IOT computing.
The CSE department's many strengths include its high faculty-to-student ratio, state of the art facilities, renowned faculty, strong focus on undergraduate education balanced with leading-edge research, and emphasis on leadership, service, and ethics.Faculty and students often collaborate on projects, In addition to the excellent faculty and quality research opportunities available through the department, there is a real sense of community and teamwork here.The CSE department also offers three optional Concentrations for undergraduate majors: Music, Dance, and Photography. These concentrations provide students interested in those topic areas with a recommended sequence of elective courses. Completion of one of the Concentrations is recorded on the student's official transcript at graduation.
BE in Computer Science & Engineering is an undergraduate program. Computer science and engineering are now cornerstones of the information society. This course is designed to enable learners for industry, academia, and public service, providing technical leadership by solving significant problems across a broad spectrum. The course is cross-disciplinary, allowing students to learn the language specificities of computer science, explore programming or modelling and design, and all of the other core aspects of the subject, whilst being also trained in industrial ethics and engaging in industry-inspired lab sessions.
Eligibility
- All candidates must have completed and passed 10+2, or equivalent examination.
- Secured minimum of 45% aggregate marks with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects and any one of Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology / Electronics / Computer Science as optional subject.
