BUMS (Bachelor Of Unani Medicine And Surgery) Is An Undergraduate Degree Programme In The Field Of Unani Medicine And Surgery. This Degree Covers The Medical Knowledge Of The Unani System. To Pursue And Owe This Degree Is Quite Enough To Become A Doctor (Hakim) In The Unani Medical Field. Unani Is The System Of Alternative Medicines. The Patients Are Taken Care By Enhancing The Natural Healing Power Of The Human Body. The Concept Of Unani Is That The Body Rejuvenates Itself Because Of Its Self Healing Power. We Just Need To Help It By Enhancing The Natural Healing Power.
Duration Of Course
The Duration Of Course Shall Be Five Years And Six Months Comprising:
- First Professional session – Twelve Month
- Second Professional session – Twelve Month
- Third Professional session – Twelve Month
- Final Professional session – Eighteen Month
- Compulsory Rotatory Internship – Twelve Month
Eligibility
- The Selection Of Candidate Will Be From Common Entrance Test (C.E.T), Karnataka Or Through Management Quota.
- The Candidates Who Have Passed 10+2 I-E PUC-II Sci. /Intermediate /HSC Examination With Physics, Chemistry & Biology Must Have Obtained Minimum Marks Of 50%.
Minimum Age
Candidates Should Attain The Age Of 17 (Seventeen) Years As On 1st December Of The Year Of Admission To BUMS Course. Urdu As A Subject Passed In The 10th Class Examination Or Should Have Passed Its Equivalent Through Any Recognized Madarsa.

Internship :
After Passing The Final Professional Examination Students Should Be Posted To Rotatory Internship In Our Hospital For One Year.
Attendance
A Minimum Of 80% Of Attendance Is Compulsory To Add To The University Examination As Well As Internal Assessment Examination.
Minimum Marks Required For Passing & Declaration Of Class
Regular Internal Assessment Examination Will Be Conducted By The College In A Year Three Internal Assessment Will Be Conducted And The Marks List Containing The Average Of These Three Internal Assessments Shall Be Submitted To The Well Before The Commencement Of University Examination.
No Candidate Shall Be Declared To Have Passed In I, II, III, IV Profession. Unless He/She Obtain Not Less Than 50% Of The Maximum Marks Prescribed In Each Subject Viz Theory And Practical Separately In Both University And Internal Assessment Examination.
A Candidate Is Declared As 1st Class If He/She Secure 60% And Above And Declared As Distinction 75% And Above.
