Course
BE in Computer Science & Engineering is an undergraduate program. Computer science and engineering are now cornerstones of the information society. This course is designed to enable learners for industry, academia, and public service, providing technical leadership by solving significant problems across a broad spectrum. The course is cross-disciplinary, allowing students to learn the language specificities of computer science, explore programming or modelling and design, and all of the other core aspects of the subject, whilst being also trained in industrial ethics and engaging in industry-inspired lab sessions.
The Department was established in the year 2008 with an intake of 60. The vision is to provide quality education in the field of of Computer Science and Engineering to address the demanding needs of IT industries, higher education and R&D sectors. The department is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi and offers four years of bachelor degree (B.E) programme to enable the students for their productive careers in Industry, Academia, Research and Government sectors. The department has an adequate and excellent infrastructure with a variety of operating platforms to prepare the students to satisfy the demands of the IT world. The department has employed experienced and dedicated faculty with a strong commitment towards teaching and research work in order to keep pace with the latest technologies.

Eligibility
- As per Government of Karnataka norms, students are eligible to apply for admission if they have cleared 10 + 2 / Pre-University Course (PUC) with English as one of the languages and obtained a minimum of 45% marks aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Electronics/Computers.
- The SC/ ST & OBC category candidates should obtain 40% marks aggregate.
