Course
B.E. Electrical and Electronic Engineering is under -graduation degree course. The main objective of this course is to make the students more productive and professionally more innovative in the field of electronics and electrical industry. Programs include classroom, laboratory, and field studies. Electrical Engineering covers various energy efficient power grids to design the electrical systems powering our lives and range of research areas from devices (such as lasers and robotics) to systems (such as computer architecture and the human brain).
Electronic engineering is an electrical engineering discipline which utilizes nonlinear and active electrical components to design electronic circuits, devices, integrated circuits and their systems. The discipline typically also designs passive electrical components, usually based on printed circuit boards.
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering ever since its inception in 2008 has been in continuous pursuit of excellence in imparting quality education in the field of Electrical and Electronics. The department has well qualified and dedicated faculty members and technical staff; it also has well-equipped infrastructure and laboratories with the state of the art machinery, latest computer hardware, software and simulation packages. The department has a students’ association called ‘e-SURGE’ with its vision to inculcate both technical knowledge and cultural values.Duration : 4 Years
Eligibility
As per Government of Karnataka norms, students are eligible to apply for admission if they have cleared 10 + 2 / Pre-University Course (PUC) with English as one of the languages and obtained a minimum of 45% marks aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Electronics/Computers.
The SC/ ST & OBC category candidates should obtain 40% marks aggregate.
