Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) Electrical Engineering is an Undergraduate programme offered by North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology Nirjuli.Electrical Engineering is that branch of Engineering which deals with the study of application of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism. Trained electrical engineers design electric circuits and equipment. They work on large power plants as well in small hardware companies which includes designing, manufacturing and operating power plants, industrial machinery, electrical motors, computer chips and ignition systems for automobiles, aircrafts, space crafts and all kinds of engines.The Electrical engineering subjects that are pursued in this course are Power Electronics, Computer Application in Power System, Electrical Machine & Power System Design, Generation, Transmission, the strength of materials, etc, which are inclined towards the application of physics in electronics and subjects such as Fourier analysis, numerical methods, partial differentiation, etc focus on problem-solving methods that are very much essential for a skilled Electrical engineer in complex analysis and circuit designing process. B.Tech Electrical Engineering course provides the required knowledge to the students related to ways of designing an efficient and safe electrical system for numerous applications.
