North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology offers a 2-year PG program in Forestry. The program deals with climate change control of the game population, forestry inventory models, wood harvesting and logistics, problems related to exploitation of tropical forests, various models of silviculture, etc.Regarding the career prospects, the graduates are hired in wood-based industries, wood workshops,sawmills, pulp, and paper industries, rosin and turpentine industry, carpentry and bamboo crafts.
