Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Civil Engineering is an advanced research-based degree.Civil Engineering build the world’s infrastructure. In doing so, they quietly shape the history of nations around the world. Most people cannot imagine life without the many contributions of civil engineers to the public’s health, safety and standard of living. Only by exploring civil engineering’s influence in shaping the world we know today; can we creatively envision the progress of our tomorrows.
The Department has been recognized as a research center and qualified students can register for M.Sc. (Engg.) by Research and Ph. D programmes. They will be governed by the regulations prescribed by the visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum from time to time. The following are a few areas of interest in which the specializations are available for carrying out research in the department.
Eligibility : Postgraduate degree in engineering/ technology or any other science subjects or bachelors degree in engineering/ technology.
