Course
Master of Science in Obstetrics and Gynaecology Nursing is a postgraduate program offered by Padmasree College of Nursing Kancheepuram. M.Sc. OBG Nursing is a two-year course which gives in-depth knowledge in the reproductive system and health of women. They take care of teenage girls having menstruation-related issues to elder women dealing with menopause-related issues. The course taught to professionally aid women starting from pregnancy to childbirth. They also help in treating women with reproductive problems and infertility. The course train students to work in cancer wards to take care of breast and other reproductive organ cancer patients. The course gives in-depth knowledge in reproduction, pregnancy, standard child delivery and nursing management,the role of nurse practitioner, newborn, pharmacy dynamics in obstetrics, family welfare services, infertility, menopause and abortion. The successful students can work as a nurse practitioner, nursing specialist, educator or researcher in OBG/GYN field.
