Course
M.Sc Medical-Surgical Nursing is a two-year postgraduate course offered by PSG College of Nursing Coimbatore focus on catering to the needs of adult patients in medical and surgical areas. The course provides extensive theoretical and practical knowledge about illness, symptoms and professionally curing the health problems. It is one of the vast regions of nursing. The course train the candidates in combining the best health care practices for adult patients and helping the patient’s family to adjust to the situation. The students are trained to handle patients hailing from different demographic backgrounds. The syllabus gives in-depth knowledge in areas like health assessment; adult & ageing; pathophysiology; pharmacology; advanced nursing practice; medical-surgical nursing obstetrical; community health nursing; nursing management and gynaecological nursing & midwifery.
Duration: 2 Years
Eligibility: B.Sc.(Nursing) & Post Basic B.Sc.(Nursing) with minimum of 55% aggregate marks. 5% relaxation of marks SC/ST
