Course
The M. Tech Programme in Communication Systems (CS) was started in the year 2006 with an intake of 18 students. M.Tech in Communication Systems (CS) is a full time programme with well-established infrastructure and State of the art laboratory facilities. Student Teacher ratio of 15:1 is being maintained consistently from the year of establishment. Students are facilitated and encouraged to work on interdisciplinary R&D, consultancy and entrepreneurial activities. Students get hands-on experience with modern engineering tools relevant to their courses.
M.Tech. in Communication Systems is a 2 year postgraduate program. A communications system or communication system is a collection of individual telecommunications networks, transmission systems, relay stations, tributary stations, and terminal equipment usually capable of interconnection and inter operation to form an integrated whole. The components of a communications system serve a common purpose, are technically compatible, use common procedures, respond to controls, and operate in union.
The M.Tech programme in Communication Systems (CS) is designed with latest and state-of-the art curriculum focusing on inter-disciplinary research areas. The core courses and elective courses are on par with industry requirements. The programme curriculum is designed based on the valuable feed backs from the all stake-holders by a well experienced, strong BOS team comprising of Faculty, Industry representatives, Alumni and graduating students. The all-round development of students leading to holistic development is ensured by providing them the opportunities to involve in co-curricular activities via seminars, workshops, paper presentations in journals/conferences, hackathons, competitions and extra-curricular activities via techno-cultural fests, sports, and other clubs.
Eligibility
- A candidate who has passed prescribed qualifying examination BE/B.Tech. or equivalent and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks taken together in all subjects in all the years is eligible for admission to M.Tech. and 45% of marks in case of SC/ST candidates.
- Candidates should have taken PGCET or should have a valid GATE Score/Rank.
- If the candidates has not qualified / appeared in PGCET/GATE a separate Entrance Test will be conducted for the candidates in the college.
