Master of Technology (M.Tech) Machine Design
M.Tech. Machine Design
Course
M.Tech in Machine Design is a post graduate program covering the essential concepts and processes involved in the design and manufacture of machines and machine- related items. The program is an offshoot of Mechanical Engineering, focusing on machine design using analytical, numerical and experimental approaches.
The program curriculum involves Analysis of static and dynamic forces to design machine elements to meet strength, safety, reliability and cost specifications. The program focuses on Design of Mechanisms and Components using Analytical, Numerical and Experimental approaches. It aims to provide knowledge of behaviour of materials and systems in both elastic and plastic ranges, failure modes and mechanisms in both static and dynamic conditions.
