Course
Master of Surgery in general Surgery or MS General Surgery is a post-graduate course covered under three years. The Raja Rajeswari Medical College and Hospital Bengaluru is affiliated under ,Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bangalore. Surgery is a branch of study that deals with diseases and injuries with the help of operative procedures. General Surgery is the sub field that distributes the surgical treatment for abdominal organs that includes intestines with esophagus, colon, stomach, liver, and all parts of thyroid gland and hernia. As the term ‘general surgery’ mostly involves the skill ability to care for different surgical problems. In medical science, general Surgery is also known as ‘Jacks of all Trades’. The Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) syllabus covers ten modules classified conveniently into five core modules and five system modules. The core modules cover topics that relate to all Surgery branches, whereas the system modules cover the specialist components of basic surgical training. The syllabus covers general Surgery, anesthesia,radiology and radiotherapy, ortho and dermatology, neurosurgery, plastic Surgery,pediatric Surgery, cardio-thoracic, urology and intensive care coaching. The candidate who achieves this qualification can have opportunities like upper gastrointestinal surgeons,urological surgeons, vascular surgeons, medical consultants, anesthesiology assistants, and clinical associate.

Eligibility The Candidates Must Have Pass MBBS Degree From a Recognized University Approved by MCI.
