Course
B.E. Information Science and Engineering is an Under-Graduation course.Information science focuses on understanding problems from the perspective of the stakeholders involved and then applying information and other technologies as needed. In other words, it tackles systemic problems first rather than individual pieces of technology within that system.It also throws light on how to analyse and interpret the raw data. It is an academic field which is primarily concerned with analysis, collection, classification, manipulation, storage, retrieval, movement, dissemination, and protection of information.

Our motive is to meet and fulfill the growing demands of market by providing best quality services through well-skilled and highly qualified engineers. In order to facilitate the students for gaining true knowledge, skills and personality, we provide a standardized, well managed, state-of-the-art infrastructure.Main emphasis is imparting practical knowledge in students. Regular workshops are conducted to update the technical skills of students by the faculty and industrial experts. Developing on-demand live projects is a regular task.
The department of Information Science & Engineering was started in the year 2008. It has a current intake of 60 students for Under Graduate course. The institute being affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, the curriculum, examination and other academic structure of the department are as defined by the university. The curriculum is designed to meet current industrial requirements and is supported by the state-of-the art laboratories in all major areas of Information Technology.
Duration : 4 Years
Eligibility : Candidates who have passed in 10+2 Examination are eligible with 45% marks in aggregate with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Computer Science / Electronics / Biology, are eligible.
