B.A vocal is a music-focused undergraduate course that is offered by RLV College of Music and Fine Arts Thrippunithura.The course span is three years and is separated into six semesters. The Mahatma Gandhi University shall contain a syllabus with subjects such as Appreciation of Music, Concert Singing, Laws of Acoustics, Bada Khayal and Chhota Khayal, Different Gharanas and their history Musical Sound, Frequency, Wave motion, Pitch and Motion, Brief History of Bharat Nayat, Shastra and Sangeet, Ratnagar Evolution of Notation System Music and Literature, Classification of Music Forms of light, music Place of Music in Fine Arts, Concepts of Ragas, and Tala in Indian Music History of Indian Music Role of Music in Multi-Media, Classifications of Ragas,Importance of Music festivals, and Taal Study. Candidates can work in different areas with different job positions and it can be Bandleader, Composer, Music critic, Singer, Recording Technician,etc.
