The Department of Information Science and Engineering was established in the year 2001.The mission of the department is Imparting high quality education in the area of Information Science so as to graduate the students with good fundamentals, "Information System Integration", "Software Creation" capability & suitably train them to thrive in Industries, higher schools of learning and R & D centers with a comprehensive perspective.
B.E. Information Science and Engineering is an Under-Graduation course.Information science focuses on understanding problems from the perspective of the stakeholders involved and then applying information and other technologies as needed. In other words, it tackles systemic problems first rather than individual pieces of technology within that system.It also throws light on how to analyse and interpret the raw data. It is an academic field which is primarily concerned with analysis, collection, classification, manipulation, storage, retrieval, movement, dissemination, and protection of information.
Eligibility
Candidates who have passed in 10+2 Examination are eligible with 45% marks in aggregate with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Computer Science / Electronics / Biology, are eligible.
