Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) Operation Theatre & Anesthesia Technology is an UG Programme offered by Salem Polyclinic College of Allied Health Science Salem. The program focuses on producing competent professionals who can assist the doctor in ensuring sterilization of operation theatre materials, medical equipment management and helping the patient pre, post-operation and during the surgery and managing the patients’ record. The course covers subjects including applied anatomy and physiology, clinical pharmacology, clinical microbiology, medical ethics, anaesthetic techniques, CSSD procedures, intensive care, principles of anaesthesia, anaesthesia for speciality surgeries. Successful students can work in Operation Theatre, Critical Care Unit, ICU of various private and public hospitals.
