The Department of ECE was started in the year 2001. It strives for excellence in imparting technical knowledge, skills and ability to its students, not only theoretical but practically also. The goal of the Department is to ensure modern technical knowledge to be transformed to products which helps the society to the greater extent of happy life through our engineers who are prepared not only to become globally accepted employees but also make them to become entrepreneurs.The Department of ECE, has got well established proctor and student mentoring system, parents interactions, technical activities throughout the academic year. The students are involved in doing projects regularly in every semester along with final year projects, students are insisted to undergo at least one internship during their engineering program.

Electronics and Communication Engineering opens up great career prospects which make our life easier and enjoyable such as Television, Radio, Computers and Mobiles etc. Students deals with the electronic devices, circuits, communication equipment's satellite, mobile communication, aerospace manufacturing companies, healthcare tools manufacturing.
Electronics and Communications Engineering is one of the most popular branches of engineering which involves researching, designing, developing, testing and maintaining of electronic equipment. Electronics and Communication Engineers also supervise the assembling and manufacturing of communication and broadcast systems. The field of Electronics and Communications Engineering has its foundations in three major technical areas: Mathematics: Information, Networks and Systems, Physics: Circuits, Semiconductor Devices & Optical Systems, and Computers: Microprocessors and Computing devices.

Eligibility
- Pass in 10+2equivalent board examination with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/Biotechnology/Computer Science/Biology//Electronics as recognized by V.T.U.
- Minimum 45% aggregate in Science. (40% for SC/ST and other OBC students applicable to Karnataka students).
