Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Nursing is an UG Programme offered by Saveetha College of Nursing Chennai. The four-year undergraduate, B.Sc Nursing program, brings out professionally trained nurses and midwives for the demanding health care industry. Pandemic situation increased more demand for qualified nurses, and this is a career with no layover whether it is war, economic recession or pandemic. The course gives professional knowledge into the practical aspects of nursing including first aid, setting up and using medical equipment, administering medicines, maintaining medical records, coordinating the proper functioning of the health care facility and assisting the doctors during medical procedures and also offer research options.
Duration: 4 years
Eligibility:
- The candidate should have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete this age on 31st December of the year of admission.
- The candidate should have completed the two years intermediate/ H.Sc or equivalent course thereof, with science subjects, viz. English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology from a recognized Indian University or Pre- University.
- The candidate should have secured not less than 60% of marks on the aggregate of the above subjects in the qualifying or competitive examination conducted on similar lines as the qualifying examination conducted by a competitive body.
