Course:
Master of Science (M.Sc.) Child Health Nursing is a PG Programme offered by Saveetha College of Nursing Chennai. M.Sc. Child Health Nursing is a two-year postgraduate course focuses on child care, starting from neonatal care to adolescents. Registered nurses or registered midwives with work experience in this field can apply for this course. They should be graduates holding BSc Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc nursing certificate. The subjects covered are pre-natal nursing; nursing care for hospitalised child & family; child development, growth & behavioural issues; paediatrics nursing; community paediatrics; assessment and nursing intervention of paediatrics medical/surgical disorder; dealing emergency; nursing challenged child; administration of the pediatric unit and administrating medicines. The competent nurses can pursue roles like asst. nursing superintendent, medical advisor, nursing supervisor, school nurse, educators and researchers.

Eligibility:
- A candidate for admission to the M.Sc. Degree in Nursing must possess a Degree of B.Sc. Nursing from a College / University duly recognized by the Indian Nursing Council with minimum 55% aggregate marks and should have one year of experience, after graduation.
