Course:
General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) is a Diploma Programme. General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course offered by Shanmuga Institute of Medical Science Salem. General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) is a three and half year diploma course (including six months internship) aims at preparing students to become competent nurses and midwives. Students who completed their 12th board exam are eligible for applying to this course. Topics covered are general health care, nursing and midwifery. At the end of the course, they will be educated and clinically trained in care-taking and nursing the patients. They can work in hospitals, clinics, community health care, government or private health as nurses.
Duration: 3 years
Eligibility:
- Pass in +2 with any subject, the percentage of marks is 40% as prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council
