The newly started department of Aeronautical Engineering at SDIT caters to the students who are highly ambitious and are interested in challenging fields of study in engineering and technology.
Aeronautical Engineering encompasses designing aircraft, stability and control of aerospace vehicles, propulsion systems, low and high speed aerodynamics and also development of advanced technologies in the field of defense and space science.
Aeronautical Engineering is an immensely important today. Thus career opportunities are vast especially in the fields of designing and planning , building, testing ,operation and upkeep of both commercial and military aircraft, ballistic capsules and space vehicles and their components as well as satellites and missiles.
The department has some of the best and experienced faculty members to provide students with individual attention and advanced training. The department has adopted Project Based learning, where in students are encouraged to apply their creative problem solving knowledge to real world problems.
Duration : 4 Years
Eligibility : Pre-University Board or any other examinations recognized by the University or equivalent thereto, with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.
