Course
The BAMS course is a medicinal bachelors program offered by Shri D G Melmalagi Ayurvedic Medical College Gadag. The program combines traditional Ayurveda with modern medicine and gives extensive practical training in both fields. A BAMS graduate would be a fully competent physician and surgeon. Shri D G Melmalagi Ayurvedic Medical College is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science (RGUHS) Bangalore. Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science syllabus includes practical training and classroom training in Ayurvedic Philosophy, Ayurvedic History, Anatomy, Physiology, Toxicology, General Surgery and Para Surgical Techniques, Panchkarma, one-year internship. The course completed Shri D G Melmalagi Ayurvedic Medical College graduates can practice as Ayurvedacharya, Ayurvedic Doctor, Ayurvedic Practitioner, Public Health Specialist, Lecturer,Researcher in various ayurvedic hospitals, clinics, health resorts, medical colleges and universities.
