Course
The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) was started during the year 2004 in the Institution. The BE degree Programme “Electrical and Electronics” offered by SIET is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi and also approved by AICTE, New Delhi. The department has Statte-of-the-art Classrooms, Labaratories and Workshop for conducting practical experiments as prescribed by the university. The department has also included LCD facilities in the class rooms for effective teaching.
B.E. Electrical and Electronic Engineering is under -graduation degree course. The main objective of this course is to make the students more productive and professionally more innovative in the field of electronics and electrical industry. Programs include classroom, laboratory, and field studies. Electrical Engineering covers various energy efficient power grids to design the electrical systems powering our lives and range of research areas from devices (such as lasers and robotics) to systems (such as computer architecture and the human brain).
Electronic engineering is an electrical engineering discipline which utilizes nonlinear and active electrical components to design electronic circuits, devices, integrated circuits and their systems. The discipline typically also designs passive electrical components, usually based on printed circuit boards.

- For SC / ST / OBC category candidates: 40% in 12th science PCM group
