Established in the year 2010 under the auspices of the S N D P Yogam Kollam with Sri. Vellappally Natesan at the helm. The college is named after M. K. Raghavan, the former General secretary of SNDP Yogam who led a strenuous struggle for the protection of the property in which the college is situated. S N D P yogam started several self financing colleges in rural areas across the state as a policy of SNDP yogam to impart education among youth who belong to socially and economically backward sections of the society. This is a challenge taken by the General secretary Sri. Vellappally Natesan to provide higher education to underprivileged sections in under developed areas of the state, This college is one among them.During the first year the college functioned in a rented building with three degree courses, English literature, B.Sc Computer science and B.Com with computer applications. In the year 2012, the college had upgraded to a first grade college with 7 U G Programs and 3 PG programs. It is our prime concern to empower the young men and women who join our college with the kind of creativity, leadership qualities combined with traditional values and managerial skill that the present day world anticipates. The students will have a rewarding and enjoyable experience during their study period in this institution.
