About Us
Sree Narayana College, Kannur is one of the biggest institutions of higher education in Kannur District. The College was founded in the name of His Holiness Sree Narayana Guru, the great saint and social reformer of our state, by the Sree Narayana Trusts, Kollam. The founder manager, Late Sri. R. Sankar made pioneering efforts to start a group of institutions named after Sree Narayana Guru.This college was formally inaugurated on the 6th of July 1960 by the then Chief Minister of Kerala, Late R. Sankar. From its status as a junior college it has now grown into a full fledged post-graduate college with affiliated research centres in its post graduate departments of Zoology , Chemistry & Commerce. This college, affiliated to Kannur University imparts instruction to nearly two thousand students in different branches of Arts, Science and Commerce at the under-graduate and post-graduate levels.
