Sree Sankara College Kalady offers M.Sc Biochemistry, a two-year postgraduate course in Biotechnology for those who have completed their graduation in biochemistry or related subjects or equivalent course from a recognized university.Biochemistry includes all living processes and living organisms. Biochemistry deals with cellular components like carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, nucleic acids and other bio-molecules, their structures, and functions. The program intends to provide awareness about every aspect of the function and structure of living,to utilize the understanding for the benefit of mankind.Sree Sankara College is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University Kottayam.Mahatma Gandhi University curriculum includes topics such as cell biology and physiology, structure and function of biomolecules, enzymology, bioenergetics and intermediary metabolism,nutritional and clinical biochemistry, plant biochemistry, molecular biology,introductory microbiology, immunology, basic biotechnology, and so on.
