Course
M.A Music is a full-time postgraduate course that lengthens two years and is divided into four semesters and is offered under Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit Kalady. The basic eligibility for this course is that the students should possess a few subjects which are related to music in undergraduate. M.A Music comprises the theoretical, practical aspects of the study. The course gives in detail the origin, history of the form of music in present times. . The Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit shall possess a curriculum with topics such as Theory (History and Aesthetics in Music), Practice paper I (Stage Performance), Theory (General and Applied Theory), Practice Paper-II (Viva – Voce), Practice Paper III (Revision of Ragas and Sessional), Theory (History of Indian Music), Practice Paper IV (Stage Performance), Theory (Applied Theory and Musical Competitions), Practice Paper V (Viva-voce), and Practice Paper VI (Revision of the Ragas and Sessional). Students after their study in the relative degree they have the best scope in their career like Music Professor, Assistant Researcher, Sound Engineer, Music Producer, Musician, Music Journalist, Artist Manager, etc.
