Course
The marine engineering deals with the application of engineering sciences such as mechanical and electrical engineering to the field of development, design, operation and maintenance of watercraft propulsion and on-board systems. The course focuses on the overall development of the considering the various aspects of the marine engineering. A marine engineer is one who is known for his versatility in his work and hence is responsible for the function, maintenance and repair of all key mechanical equipment on board a ship. Ships use the most modern technology and equipment that can be worked upon to its maximum potential, maintained and handled mainly by marine engineers. A high degree of discipline and responsibility on the part of a marine engineer is required since the chief marine engineer is in charge of a ship and its cargo which cost millions of dollars. Engineers manage the colossal power of the ship with all of its complicated machinery
Duration : 4 Years
Eligibility : Candidates who have passed in 10+2 Examination are eligible with 45% marks in aggregate with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Computer Science / Electronics / Biology, are eligible.
