Certificate Course in Phlebotomy Technology
This program trains students to draw blood specimens, via venipuncture and skin puncture, to aide doctors in the diagnosis and/or treatment of patient’s health issues. This short-term program with institutionally-organized, hands-on clinical training can lead to a life-long career as a phlebotomist. It can serve as a springboard into other occupations such as a Medical Assistant, Medical Laboratory Technician, Licensed Practical Nurse, or a Registered Nurse. Phlebotomy technicians assist patients with the collection of blood and other clinical specimens.
Duration
Duration of Certificate Course in Phlebotomy Technology is a 4 to 6 months programme.
Eligibility Criteria
- 10+2/PUC science/ diploma in MLT/ B.Sc. MLT
- 10th standard /PUC/Diploma (Only for Certificate course in Home care Nursing).
