Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Physiotherapy (Interdisciplinary)
Ph.D. in Physiotherapy, one of the branches of Medicine & Health, is an interdisciplinary subject, where candidates, both Bachelor's and Master's graduates, learn how to help people with physical impairments. Ph.D. in Physiotherapy focuses on the science behind physical rehabilitation. Candidates in this course attend lectures, seminars, conferences, and classes that concentrate on the evidence-based process of physiotherapy. The course prepares candidates for an extensive range of fields, they also do research and write papers to display their own discoveries regarding physiotherapy. At the end of the course, a candidate will usually be able to diagnose and treat physical impairments and educate future physiotherapists, patients or their families.
Duration
Duration of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physiotherapy is a 3 year doctoral programme.
Eligibility
Master of science in related discipline from faculty of Medicine with 55% in aggregate from a recognized University on regular basis.
Ph.D Entrance Examination
The Entrance Examination shall be conducted at the Centre(s) notified in advance. The syllabus of the Entrance Test shall consist of 50% of Research methodology and 50% shall be subject specific. The related syllabus shall be notified in advance in the website. The marks at the qualifying examination shall be 50%. Maximum weightage (70%) shall be given to the written test and 30% to the interview.
