Course
B.E. Electrical and Electronic Engineering is under -graduation degree course. The main objective of this course is to make the students more productive and professionally more innovative in the field of electronics and electrical industry. Programs include classroom, laboratory, and field studies. Electrical Engineering covers various energy efficient power grids to design the electrical systems powering our lives and range of research areas from devices (such as lasers and robotics) to systems (such as computer architecture and the human brain).
Electronic engineering is an electrical engineering discipline which utilizes nonlinear and active electrical components to design electronic circuits, devices, integrated circuits and their systems. The discipline typically also designs passive electrical components, usually based on printed circuit boards.
B.E. Program in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and M.Tech. Program in Energy Systems and Management run by the Department have been granted autonomous status by V.T.U. The Department has its own Board of Studies (BoS) and Board of Examiners (BoE) consisting of the staff members of the Department as members in addition to experts drawn from external institutions of excellence and also from industry. The BoS meets as and when required to discuss and update the curriculum. This has helped in making a curriculum that is outcome-based, dynamic, on par with the current developments in technology, to meet the requirements of industry. The Department also has laboratories setup in collaboration with industries like Schneider Electric.Duration : 4 Years
Eligibility : Students who have passed PUC/10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology, with at least 45% of marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.
