Course
Master of Science (M.Sc) Course is a PG Programme. Master of Science (M.Sc) Course offered by Sri Krishnadevaraya University Anantapur. The course is about the scientific study of the plants, fungi and algae. This scientific study includes studying the various aspects of plants including the structure, growth, reproduction, metabolism, diseases, chemical properties, physiology of the plants and plant anatomy in general. The course is a vast combination of studying from the basic cell structure to the workings and metabolism of plants on higher levels including their evolution. The course is very accurately structured as mostly all the theory based papers are accompanied by practical sessions to provide a hands-on experience to the students in understanding the scientific concepts through practical knowledge.
Duration: 2 years
Eligibility:
- The candidate seeking admission into post graduation should have passed the qualifying examination with a minimum of 40% marks in the concerned subject. For the courses where the admission is based on the degree as a whole, the aggregate percentage of marks in the group subjects should be 40%. For admission into M.Ed., the aggregate marks in B.Ed. should be 50% and in degree/PG should be 45%. Pass is sufficient for SC/ST candidates for admission into any course.
- Candidates who have already passed the qualifying examination or who have appeared / are appearing for the final year annual examination in 2016 are also eligible to apply. Supplementary candidates of 2016 are not eligible.
- The Admission to MA / MSc / MCom / MPEd / MSW / MLISc course is through a University level entrance test called "Sri Krishnadevaraya Univesity Common Entrance Test"(SKUCET), conducted by the Directorate of Admissions, Sri Krishnadevaraya Univesity
- Seats are filled by the Convener of SKUCET based on the ranks secured in SKUCET and as per the rules of reservation in force.
