Course
B.Sc Cardio Pulmonary Perfusion Care Technology is an undergraduate program offered by Sri Lakshmi Medical Centre & Hospital Coimbatore . The program aims to bring out competent cardiovascular perfusionists to support cardiac medical team during open-heart surgery and related procedures. They conduct cardiopulmonary bypass using the heart-lung machine and other related medical equipment, closely monitor the patient's blood flow and additional vital signs during open-heart surgery, administer intravenous fluids and medication. The syllabus covers cardiothoracic anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, fetal and neonatal cardiac development and perfusion science. Eligibility:
- Candidates belonging to all categories for admission to the B.SC. DEGREE COURSES UNDER ALLIED HEALTH SCIENCES should have passed the qualifying examinations after period of 12 years of study with the following subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Botany and Zoology.
