About Us
Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College is accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ grade and Seven of the B.E/ B.Tech programmes have been accredited and re - accredited by National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi, since 2003. The institution currently has 4400 plus students passionately mentored by 279 faculty members of whom 97 are holding Ph.D, with 120 pursuing Ph.D A very good research culture exists in the campus with an average annual funding of Rs. 3.4 crore from various funding agencies - AICTE, DST, CSIR, DRDO etc., The institution is also funded through DST- FIST and DST- INSPIRE and DST- NST MIS.
The departments are closely working with the industries -L&T, Bi-Metal Bearings, Roots Industries, Tech Mahindra and other companies on Consultancy, Management development programmes and collaborative projects. The areas of collaboration include Machine Vision Systems, Finite Element Analysis, 3D Printing, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Predictive Analytics, Virtual instrumentation etc.,
The quality of the students admitted for our programmes is quite good with an opening cut off marks of 196.5 and closing cut off marks of 189.The students are being trained right from the second semester in communication skills. They are also given technical value addition in relevant areas of interest to make them industry ready. The internship in/for industries are part of the B.E/ B.Tech curricula and the students intern with the industries like – Pricol Technologies, L&T, Health Care Center For Innovation- IIT Park, Paxterra Solutions, Ashok Leyland, TAFE, TVS, Ford India Pvt. Ltd., and Mahindra and Mahindra for a period of 3 to 6 months.

Dr. N R. Alamelu
Principal
Dr. N R. Alamleu presently, The Principal of Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College, Coimbatore, is the recipient of the ISTE- Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan National Award for Best Engineering College Principal for the year 2015. She received her Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Bhrathiyar University, Coimbatore. She holds her Masters in Applied Electronics from Madras University and Bachelors in Electronics and Communication Engineering with honours from Madras University. She has about 55 technical and research publications and presentations to her credit in International and National journals and conferences. She has guided 5 Ph.D. Scholars. Her research areas include Broadband Networks, Security, Communication Systems and Image Processing.
Has 32 years of academic experience in various Engineering Institutions – PSG College of Technology, Mohamed Sathak Group of Institutions, Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute and Aarupadai Veedu Institute of Technology. She has 10 years of experience as Dean and Principal.
