Dear SBA Family :
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the Academic 2018 – 2019 year at St. Benedict’s Academy. This is our 10th year of existence and we are very excited about our St. Benedict’s institute of management studies & computer application.
It is a very sacred and special trust that you have placed in us and we will endeavor to work with you in partnership to ensure that your child develops within an environment that allows the light of Christ to both shine on them and through them.
At SBA we believe that it is essential to meet each child’s needs, whatever they may be. We want our students to be passionate and excited about learning, be prepared to take risks and challenges even though sometimes they will get stuck in their learning, know how to try again and succeed. It is our job to empower our students so good learning habits come from within.
I am well aware of the importance of our position and being trusted with shaping the valuable resource of young minds. I feel that we have excellent programs that our dedicated staff has worked rigorously toward creating and we are constantly improving.

Admission Guidelines
Eligibility criteria for admissions to Undergraduate courses
“No student shall be eligible for admission to the 1st Degree course through non-formal /distance education unless he/she has successfully completed 12 years of schooling through an examination conducted by a Board/University or through National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS)”. Basic eligibility is a pass at +2 level (Karnataka PUC / ISC / CBSE / NIOS / IGCSE / IB) Candidate should have completed 12 years of schooling in 10+2 pattern in any recognized Board in India or abroad.
B. Com.
Candidates who have completed two years Pre-University Course of Karnataka State Board or any equivalent are eligible for admission to this course.
B.C.A.
- A pass at+2 level (Karnataka PUC / ISC / CBSE / NIOS / IGCSE / IB) from any recognized Board in India or abroad.
- Candidates, who are from non-science streams, should have studied any of the following subjects at the +2 level: Mathematics, Computer Science or Electronics.
B.B.A
Candidates who have completed two years pre university course (plus two) from Karnataka state board or any equivalent from other states/board with 50% or equivalent CGPA are eligible for admission into this course.
B.A
A candidate who has passed two years PUC examination of Karnataka State with any combination of optional subjects or any other examination recognized as equivalent they too shall be eligible for admission to BA course.
B.Sc (PCM)
Candidates who have completed two year pre university course (plus two) from Karnataka state board or its equivalent from other states/board with 40% or equivalent CGPA are eligible for admission into this course. Candidate should have studied Physics, chemistry and Mathematics in class 11 and 12.
Admission Procedure
* All aspiring candidates are requested to apply online or through office for the admission.
* Result awaiting candidates can apply for the course with plus one marks.
* Update Marks in the office once the plus two marks are available.
* Status of Candidates' application and selection to counselling will be informed through Email or Phone Call.
- Admission will be based on the score secured in qualifying exam and their performance in counselling.
- Selected applicants in the interview will be informed about the reporting date on the day of counselling.
- Admission formalities of submitting all available original documents and fees for the first Semester must be completed by the applicant on or before the reporting date. Otherwise, their admission will be cancelled.
- Parents / guardian must be present at the time of admission process

- AIU Equivalency Certificate (for students who have done their qualifying examination in any curriculum other than Indian Educational Curriculum)
