Course
Doctor of Medicine in Nephrology or DM in Nephrology is a post-doctorate course that encompasses the study of diseases and abnormalities faced by the kidneys. The course shall be taken place for three years which is divided into six semesters. The St. John’s National Academy of Health Sciences is affiliated with the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bangalore. Aspirants who acquire this course shall be complete in any of the aspects of MS/MD from a recognized university and have relevant experience. The St. John’s National Academy of Health Sciences offers a curriculum that can include certain subjects Anatomy and embryology of the kidney, Basic knowledge of Renal Pathology, Physiology of the Kidney, Basic knowledge of Renal therapeutics, Kidney diseases in Pregnancy,Basic and advanced investigations in renal diseases, Basic training in Renal Radiology Glomerular diseases, Fluid and Electrolyte disorders. Scholars who complete this research can compete in certain roles in their careers such as a nephrologist, product manager,dialysis medical officer, junior resident, and nephrology specialist.
