Course
D.M. Neonatology or Doctor of Medicine in Neonatology is a post-Doctoral Medicinal course. Neonatology is a sub-speciality of paediatrics that consists of the medical care of newborn infants, especially the ill or premature newborn infant. D.M. (Neonatology) provides advanced training in Neonatology to produce competent super-specialists who can provide clinical care of the highest order to the newborn infants, and serve as future teachers, trainers, researchers and leaders in the field of Neonatology.

Eligibility
- Candidates should have passed an M.D. Paediatrics or equivalent (including Diploma of National Board in Paediatrics) degree from a recognised university board.
- Admission process is purely based on the merit and the medical colleges and universities conduct common entrance examination for the candidates.
Admission Process
MCH (Paediatric Surgery) DM (Neonatology) Courses, Admission is conducted by Delhi University through their Entrance Examination.50% All India quota seats & proportionately SC/ST/OBC seats are filled by the Director General of Health Services on the basis of merit in the All India Postgraduate Medical Entrance Examination conducted by All India Institute of Medical Sciences.

After completing the course applicants have wide scopes in labs, clinics, hospitals and other government medical jobs.Teaching is also safe and good field for them. Further they can go for various educational designations both in government and private run colleges/universities.
