M.Ch Cardiothoracic surgery - Cardiothoracic surgery is the field of medicine involved in surgical treatment of diseases affecting organs inside the thorax (the chest)—generally treatment of conditions of the heart (heart disease) and lungs (lung disease). Cardiac surgery (involving the heart and great vessels) and thoracic surgery (involving the lungs) are separate surgical specialties,Cardiothoracic Surgery involves the treatment of diseases affecting organs inside the chest (Thoracic and Aortic). The Cardiothoracic Surgery team at BMH handles all catagories of Heart, Lung, Mediastinal and Oesophageal Surgeries & Peripheral Vascular Surgeries.
Duration: 3 Years
Eligibility
- Qualifying M.B.B.S or PG in Cardiology with minimum aggregate marks as set by the respective colleges or universities/Entrance Examination/Interview/Work experience of minimum 2 Years.
- Admission process is purely based on the merit and the medical colleges and universities conduct common entrance examination for the candidates.
Admission Process
Applicants are supposed to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria as set by the respective colleges. Based on the grounds of eligibility, the admission to the program will be further processed. Those who have cleared their M.B.B.S. degree or Master’s in Cardiology with minimum aggregate marks are deemed eligible for seeking admission to the program. Clearing the entrance examination conducted for admission to the PG level program is a prerequisite.
