Course
PG program (M. Plan) with specialization in “Urban Planning” was started in 2018 with an intake of 18 students and thus the department became a research center under APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University by default.
The Department, since its inception, has been associated with various real time development programs of the district and of the state. ZONASA, the zonal convention of the National Association of Students of Architecture was hosted by the department in 1992 and 2010. The department celebrated its silver jubilee in 2010.The department is actively participating in many socially relevant projects with students’ participation. The Department is having an efficient “Architectural Consultancy Cell”. The cell has received more than 20 projects of various types during the financial year 2018-19. It is functioning as a training center for B. Arch and Architectural Diploma students.
Eligibility
Pass in Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education of Kerala or an examination equivalent thereto with at least 50% marks in Mathematics separately, and 50 % marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together are eligible for admission. However candidates who have obtained 45% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together are eligible for admission under Management Quota.
