MTech Power Systems Engineering is a postgraduate electrical engineering program offering Power systems engineering, is the study in engineering that deals with the generation, transmission, distribution and utilization of electric power and the electrical equipment connected to such systems including generators, motors and transformers.A Post-Graduate programme (Power Systems) in self-financing stream was started in the year 2016 with student strength of 14. The course shall extend over a period of 24 months consisting of 4 semesters.
Eligibility
B Tech / BE in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 60% marks with usual concessions to SC/ST and other eligible communities as per Government rules from time to time. (OR)
Minimum marks for M.Tech admission for AMIE candidates shall be 55% of the aggregate of Section B of the respective examination. They should have a minimum of three years of professional experience in the field and a valid GATE score in the respective branch.
§ The Course has an intake of 18 students, strictly according to APJA Kerala Technological University regulations.
§ 50% of the student’s intake is based on the rank list provided by Director of Technical Education and remaining students are allocated as per management direction based on merit.
§ Admissions are according to government regulations to include socially and educationally backward community and SC/ST students as per government norms.
