B.Sc. Sericulture is an undergraduate Agricultural Science and Technology course. Sericulture or silk farming is the rearing of silkworms to produce raw silk, Although there are several commercial species of silkworms, Bombyx mori is the most widely used and intensively studied. The sericulture sector plays a major role in the development of the rural economy. Sericulture being a cottage industry offers a wide range of employment opportunities to the women belonging to rural areas.
Eligibility
Aspiring candidates should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as subjects from a recognized school board.
