Course
Forests form a significant part of natural resources of a country due to which it becomes vital to conserve and manage them. Forestry is the science of planting, managing, maintaining as well as conserving forests and its related resources. The professional who practices forestry is known as a forester.A forester is involved in many activities such as protection of natural resources, ecological restoration, timber harvesting, etc. A forester also develops forest management plans, selects sites for growing new tress, and plans and supervises forestry projects. Due to declining forest cover and competing demands on the resources, the field of forestry has good potential for employment in the coming years. There are various forestry courses available for candidates in different specializations. Some of the popular forestry specializations that candidates can pursue at master’s level include Forest Economics, Forest Management, Commercial Forestry, Wildlife Science, Wood Science & Technology, etc

Eligibility
Graduation or another such equivalent course in a relevant discipline, completed from a recognized university. A minimum aggregate score of 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates) at the level of graduation.
