Course:
Master of Nursing (M.Sc) is a PG Programme programme offered by Venkateswara Nursing College Thalambur. M.Sc. OBSTETRICS Nursing is a two-year postgraduate course enhancing the knowledge of the nurses in obstetrics and gynaecological area. The course specialises in the reproductive health system of women. The course train students to physically and morally take care of patients during pregnancy, labour and post-delivery. They monitor post-partum issues, including post-partum depression and report to the doctor. They also support female patients at the oncology department dealing with breast and other reproductive organ cancer. The course gives intensive theoretical and practical knowledge in human reproduction, pregnancy, standard child delivery and nursing management, the role of nurse practitioner, newborn, pharmacy dynamics in obstetrics, family welfare services, infertility, menopause and abortion. The course produces professional trained OBG/GYN nurses who can act as a nurse practitioner, nurse supervisor, nursing specialist, educator or researcher.

Eligibility:
- The Candidates should have Passed the qualification of B.Sc. Nursing degree of the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University with aggregate 55% or any other University accepted as equivalent there to.
