M.Tech. Bioinformatics
Course
M.Tech. in Bioinformatics is a two year postgraduate course which provides training in the areas like information technology, molecular biology, statistics and bioinformatics.Bioinformatics is a study of application of computer science and statistics to the field of molecular biology. This course provides students the knowledge on fields such as proteomics, genomics, metabolic pathway engineering, protein engineering, pharmacogenomics, molecular diagnostic kits, agro-biotechnology etc. It also provides knowledge required to discover the new drugs and vaccines. It also makes students understand how the life exists and works by studying the functional and structural relationships of biomolecules. It makes students proficient in tackling biology related problems.

Eligibility
Minimum eligibility required to apply for admission to the M.Tech Bioinformatics course is to qualify in Bachelor's degree (B.E/ B.Tech) in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics from a recognized university with minimum aggregate score of 50%.
