Masters of surgery in ophthalmology is a course which is recognized under the Sri Venkateswara University (SVU) Tirupati for theViswabharathi Medical College Kurnool. Our Viswabharathi Medical College which is under Sri Venkateswara University (SVU) offers this course with a duration of three years differentiated with six semesters. Aspirants who have completed MBBS (Bachelor of medicine and surgery) in a recognized university can undertake this course as in discipline. The Viswabharathi Medical College offers a syllabus includes Anatomy and Development of the Eye, Elementary and Physiological Optics, Errors of Refraction, Physiology of Eye and Vision, Diseases of Lens,Diseases of Cornea, Diseases of Conjunctiva, Diseases of Scleroses, Disorders of Ocular Motility, Ocular Pharmacology, Community Ophthalmology, Neuro-ophthalmology,Diseases of Retina and Vitreous, Glaucoma, Trauma and Emergency Ophthalmology,Disorders of the eyelids, orbit, lacrimal drainage apparatus, Occuloplasty, Disorders of the Optic Nerve, and more. Scholars who have certified with this degree can explore in different job roles like ophthalmologist, lecturer/professor, ENT specialist, clinical surgeon,ophthalmology surgeon, clinical assistant and medical consultant and so on.
