Course
B.E. Electronics and Communication Engineering opens up great career prospects which make our life easier and enjoyable such as Television, Radio, Computers and Mobiles etc. Students deals with the electronic devices, circuits, communication equipment's satellite, mobile communication, aerospace manufacturing companies, healthcare tools manufacturing.
B.E. ECE course deals with the investigation and study of design, installation, manufacture, and operation of electronic tools a, d equipment, telecommunication systems, systems and machinery, radio, computers, and TVs used in the computer industry, hospitals, entertainment media, defence forces and in numerous other areas. The course is a merger of two fundamental branches. The program provides a sound establishment for people wishing to seek a career in Electronics & Communication engineering, control systems, communications, sensor systems and robotics through an assorted scope of practical experience and theoretical skills, exhibited with regards to real applications and design expertise and experience.
The Department of Electronics and Telecommunication is established in the year 2010 to impart the quality education to the budding engineers. As the 21st century is the century of communication and competition, our main motto is to produce graduates who will be technically sound, well cultured and globally competent. Currently we have 13 well qualified and experienced faculty members and 5 supporting staff.
The department has 10 different laboratories supporting our curricula especially in the areas of electronics and communication. Since the invention of transistor at Bell Laboratories in 1947, the field of electronics has grown exponentially and it continues to grow. From a simple 1-transistor IC, now the field is witnessing million transistor ICs. Similarly, the communication engineering has progressed tremendously from the days of Alexander Graham Bell. Together these two areas touch upon every phase of human life. On successful completion of the program, the students can have a challenging career in their life.

Eligibility
- Should pass 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the technical vocational subjects-Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology / Electronics / Computers.
- Should obtain at least 45% marks in aggregate (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserve category candidates of Karnataka only).
- Lateral entry to second year – Should pass diploma Examination from an AICTE approved polytechnic. Should obtain at least 45% marks in aggregates (40% in case of reserve category candidates of Karnataka only).
