NTA Opened Online Portal for Submitting Applications for UGC NET December 2021 and June 2022 Merged Cycles

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has entrusted the National Testing Agency (NTA) with the task of conducting UGC-NET. This is a test to determine the eligibility of Indian citizens for ‘Assistant Professor’ and ‘Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor’ in Indian Universities and Colleges. The NTA will conduct UGC NET December 2021 and June 2022 merged cycles for Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor qualification in 82 subjects by Computer Based Test. JRF slots for both UGC NET December 2021 and June 2022 cycles have been merged and there is no change in methodology for subject-wise and category-wise allocation of JRF. The schedule for UGC NET December 2021 and June 2022 merged cycle is, candidates can submit the Online Application form from 30th April 2022 to 20th May 2022 till 5 PM. The last date for submitting the examination fee through credit card/debit card/ net banking/UPI is 20th May 2022 till 11.50 PM, correction of details in the application form is from 21st May to 23rd May 2022. Intimation regarding the examination center, downloading of admit cards, and date of examination will be announced later on the website. The exam will be conducted on two-shift i.e. the first shift from 9 am to 12 pm and the second shift from 3 pm to 6 pm. The application fee for General/Unreserved is Rs 1100/-, for General -EWS/OBC-NCL is Rs 550/- and for the third gender is Rs 275/-.

For UGC NET December 2021and June 2022 merged cycles candidates can apply through the ‘Online mode’ only on the website https://ugcnet.nta.nic.in/. The Online Application Form can be submitted by accessing the NTA website https://ugcnet.nta.nic.in/. The application form submitted in any other mode will not be accepted. Applicants should strictly follow the instructions given in the information bulletin on the NTA website. Candidates must ensure that the email id and phone number given in the application form are their own or parents/guardians only as all information will be sent through the registered email id or SMS on the registered phone number by the NTA.
