Course
B.Sc Costume and Fashion Design is an undergraduate course that is studied for three years and is offered under Kannur University Kannur. The course is designed for students who have a nontechnical and creative idea in costume and interior designing who are eligible to study this course. The basic eligibility in doing this course is that the students must complete the plus two in science stream or equivalent course from any recognized board. Kannur University shall possess a curriculum with topics such as Analytical Drawing, Computer-Aided Design, Anatomy, Creative Jewellery, Basic Photography, Current Global Fashion Trends Process, Colour Mixing Design, Basic Computer Studies, Draping, Apparel Construction Methods, Elements of Design, Elements of Textiles, Fashion Studies, English Communication Free Hand Drawing, Fabric Dyeing and Printing Garment Construction, Fashion Forecasting, Geometrical Construction, Fashion History Grading, Fashion Illustration and Design History of Costumes, Pattern-making, Introduction to Pattern Making and Garment Construction, Perspective Drawing Knitwear, Photography, Leather Designing, Styling, Manufacturing Technology, Surface Development Techniques, Indian Art Appreciation, and Textile Science, Nature Drawing. After studying this program the students can work in various job roles such as Apparel Production Manager, Costume Designer, Fashion Coordinator, Fabric Quality Control Manager, Fabric Buyer, Fashion Show Organizer, Technical Designer, Fashion Consultants, Production Pattern Maker, Showroom Sales Representative, Graphic Designer, etc.
